Daiga Krūze’s exhibition project “Ninth Room” is about painting, but it is not a display of paintings in the conventional sense. For several days, the artist will interact with the exhibition space, painting in and on it, gradually “closing” the planes of the room and leaving visual breaks in them, in which abstract pictorial images, carriers of new expression appear. According to the method, the process harmonizes with automatic writing in the avant-garde literature of the 20th century, only instead of a pen – a brush, instead of ink – color and a sheet of white paper is a white exhibition space.
